It was a very light scent that stayed in my hair but I couldn't actually smell it unless I held my hair up to my nose. Of course, it could smell a thousand times stronger to you.

I posted a 1 star as well - I did see a few other one stars re the FWVP so we'll see... I will find it interesting to see how Chaz describes this new scent in the presentations. I'm sure either he or his staff read these threads. Hopefully they'll bring the sandalwood scent to the forefront so consumers know what they're getting.

@picco I agree. I really want to hear how Chaz describes the scent because surely he isn't going to tell us that it's a vanilla and pumpkin scent!

If he does tell us it's vanilla and pumpkin, I'll be VERY disappointed in him and it will definitely affect my opinion. He needs to come clean with the name not being descriptive of the product and that it's actually a heavy sandalwood scent.  Perhaps this one should be included in the men's line after all is said and done.

You know this "what does a scent smell like" could be thought of differently, and certainly not any reason to rate a product, (any product) poorly..No one is ever going to smell any scent the same, ever...So if you don't smell, something in a scented product you expected, then return it if it bothers you,  but the next person might smell it exactly as was stated..

In referring to a Wen product, the FAS was the most divided CC I can think of scent wise..but it preformed wonderfully it seemed to many folks. So to give Wen or any product a bad rating due to scent isn't something I would think would be fair. Now if you hated the whole product and every aspect was awful then you might review differently.

I am a devoted Josie Maran fan, I have one of her body butters I truly do not care for the scent at all, but it still works the same as the rest for me...I would state the scent for me wasn't what I cared for & describe what I thought, but it  isn't Josie's fault I don't like it, she didn't set out to try & decieve me, it's still a good product...just my thoughts, I can't wait to try the FVWP, I might just love it...

I apologize if this has already been mentioned (I don't feel like reading through 19 pages), but I think the scent is kind of powdery and seems more like a spring scent then a fall scent. I'm having a hard time figureing this one out.  I'm not sure if I like it or not yet.  It lingerd in my hair all day and I definately didn't like that but was able to spray in some tt rtm and that helped tone it down enough that I could tolerate it.   The performace, however is terrific!  I love the way my hair felt after I cleansed.  I did blow dry and it was still very soft and managable.   I'm not sending back my 32 oz, but I am 2nd guessing getting the tsv - if I do I'll probably just give the 16oz of this scent away.

@HSB1204 thank you! Many of the reviews say it does linger in the hair quite strongly though. One poster (forgot who it was sorry) even said her hubby was standing next to her and said her hair smells like stinky perfume! yikes I don't want that! Deja vu of FAS all over again where hubby asked me to no longer use it (and I wholeheartedly agreed and thought the same thing before he even asked me)!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if I am not in love with the scent as long as the performance is amazing but I can't do really strong, lingering scent unless it is an absolutely fabulous scent even if the results were amazing. I never used FAS long enough to know what the perfomance was really like because I couldn't get over the scent and didn't want to smell like maple syrup all day. Although I love the performance of SHP, it isn't my favorite scent I (I don't hate it but I don't love it either) and the converse is true about SHL- I LOVE the scent but it isn't my most favorite performer. It isn't drying but, as you know, I love me some serious moisture and SHL doesn't have that.

Regarding lingering. I couldn't figure out why my bathroom smelled like the CC for days ( I've never had that happen before but I never tried FAS), then it dawned on me it was coming from the t-shirt I wrap my hair in when I got out of the shower after I cleansed with it. It also lingered on my hair after being dry, when I used it as leave in. I actually ended up recleansing later in the day because it wouldn't go away.

Hilary77, I first tried the RTM and I was instantly in love!  It made my hair just start bouncing all over the place and the scent is great!  I then tried the CC and styling creme and I went back for more and on auto delivery.  The oil is on QVC, I think event price but no easy pay yet.  I love it, Excuse me,      GALLONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Okay, anyway, when I use it, it makes my hair fall into place and stay for days!  I love it!!!!!  OOOWE!  I'm stocking up.  Oh, I see BGT and MIF will be coming in November in EDP!  Wow!  I'm going for BGT.  Good things coming out!!!!!

I definitely don't smell it in my hair to the same degree as with FAS.  I used the CC, oil, and RTM and it was not overpowering.  I really wish there were samples because smell is so subjective.  I just don't smell it like others seem to.  

I used it again last night and I am loving the results.  I mixed the RTM with my fav (FTP) RTM and I could mostly smell the FTP.  I am beginning to like the new scent.  I never disliked it, it was not one that I loved at the first sniff.   But like Hillary said, I like the performance even more today.  The seasonals that are most moisturizing and best performing for me are the SHP, FAS, SCLV.  I think the FVWP has surpassed them.  FTP is still my fav because of the scent and I may try combining the CCs to see the results.  

My curls are so shiny and healthy looking.  I never really payed attention to the honey  everyone talks about until recently.  The FVWP does have a honey extract and hydroxypropyltrimonium honey. Maybe that is why it feels so moisturizing.  I will have to mix it with the SHP and let you know how the scent is and how it performs.

@HappyDaze That was my husband who thought my hair stank like perfume. So yeah, he could apparently smell it a lot stronger than I could even though my hair was closer to me than him!

I agree with what you're saying about the scent, though. Most of the We formulas don't linger in my hair too much but if I can't tolerate the scent then what's the point of using it? My hair actually really liked FAS but I can't even stand the thought of having a cloud of FAS surround me all day long.
