QVC CEO MIChael George specifically cites decline in WEN sales

due to " some customer complaints" as among the reasons for QVC declining sales.  THe only other product specifically mentioned was Keurig where sales are also down.  The general categories of electronics and jewelry also suffered a decline.

I think QVC best sales are makeup for women. The ridiculous prices and then the TSVs make it sound like you are getting $300 for $59.00.

I can definitely understand both items going downhill.....

WEN isn't for everyone as I sure found out and because of that I won't purchase again.  I imagine there are a lot of customers in my boat and others who just won't try it.

Re: Keurig (my favorite coffee maker).... made a HUGE mistake in coming out the the 2.0 and cheapening the materials.  I've purchased Keurig since they came out, including the small variety (for the motorhome-years ago). .... I purchased the same model for our youngest son (from QVC) and was shocked at how cheaply it was made.  Returned it, went to a B & M store and purchased one from them, higher quality all around.

@KathyPet - Obviously, they don't read the boards - it's more than "some complaints".

@KathyPet - Let me stand corrected - I didn't see the "Wen" reference, I thought you were just referring to sales in general.  I don't think Wen has anything to do with their problems.  The problems are much larger than that!

One reason Keurig sales are down...QVC seems to have dropped the line.  There aren't any for sale.

Can't increase keurig sales when there aren't any for sale. LOL It's been that way for well over a year.

Re: QVC CEO MIChael George specifically cites decline in WEN sales

I have bought so many of those Kerig (sp) for people.  So my daughter came to visit from Denver over Labor Day weekend.  She normally isn't a tree hugger (sorry tree huggers, don't mean any disrespect, really need people like you, just a phrase I use) but when I told her to make her own coffee with the thing (I don't use it) she said, "Mom, I threw my Kerig out".  I'm like, "I paid a lot of money for that thing for you".  She says, "Nancy said those little K-cups are bad for the environment".  I'm like, "Well then use your gas and get your fanny up to the 7-11 to get yourself some coffee...Did Nancy say anything about all of the gas it takes to go to Starbucks?"  Ha!  Anyway, maybe that's why those sales are down.  A lot of people stopped using them because of that, I'm told.  Doesn't bother me one way or another, I couldn't get the stupid thing to work anyway.

My guess is sales took a major drop when they decided they'd charge the equivalent to $10 to return something..($3 or $5 to get the item and $6.95 at least to return it).  That makes me sick.  Especially since I have to send almost all of it back because it's too freaking big.  I have put on weight and yet I have to keep downsizing my clothes...I even call in and ask them to post the inches on the TV and still it is wrong!  There is no quality control in their sizing.

Just a few years ago I wore a size 1X and everything I bought was a size 1X and fit perfectly.  I've lost a few pounds (but nothing big) but now I have to order from QVC a size large....go figure!

I think in a nutshell it's quality control (lack of) and overcharging to return those things things that don't fit!

I've no complaint about their customer service.  Always found them to be very good.

This is just mhop, If they did not bundle the electronics they could be sold much cheaper .Have know idea why they do that .Then you have shipping which makes it still more expensive. Could go to staples and get it much less. Also I like some of Susan gravers things but the price point as reached and all time high and then shipping .I don't understand why you have to pay $3 dollars for everything you order .Amazon bundles whatever you order in one shipment . I do order something I like and cant find else where .such as some the harvest stuff and some Christmas stuff. Very reluctant to order clothes as you are guessing on the fit .I also ordered the jacket on c wonder measured myself look up the size range according to the my measuments and when I got it was a little large .even D and C has gone up in price .

I think more f a variety would help.  Let's see, when you have 5or6 Dooneys, 3or 4 Dysons, a few Vitamixes and all of the Clarks that you can stuff in your closet, what next ??
