@quadmimi, @aprimo is right. You need to log into the forum and check your notifications.
The reason I decided to create a notifications alert system was to make it easier for Wenners to know that there is some sort of limited time Wen event going on. I've noticed that especially during TSV times, the Wen forum can get so very busy that time sensitive threads can get lost in all the conversation.
I thought that the notifications feature might help to make sure that people knew about these offers.
Going forward, I thought that notifications would be useful for these occasions (and probably others as well):
1) OTOs -- especially now that QVC has this new OTO system in which an unexpected OTO can pop up at any time.
2) whenever a new Wen TSV advance order number available in the latest issue of InsideQ (though the number couldn't be shared)
3) that a new very limited special offer is available on the QVC Wen product page (e.g. the 8oz supersize Remoist that gets sold out as soon as it appears in a Wen show)
4) that there's a sale (i.e. the frequent Black Friday sale), special offer, or new Wen product at Chaz's site.
Right now I'm using the latest listing, which is in the first two pages of the OTO Notification thread - 2 OTOs - 2 Fall CCs & RTMs OR Rice TVS & SC thread, as the current list.
In the next few weeks, whenever I get a chance, I'm going to set up a separate proper notifications list that goes according to alphabetical sequence (this should make it easy to make sure that you're on the notifications list). -- If someone wants to be added to the list, all they have to do is to let me know and I'll add them on.
Once that's done, any Wenner should feel free to start a notification thread if they come across a time sensitive Wen special... and not feel that they have to wait for me to send something out... lol, because the earlier the notification, the better the chance of snagging the Wen bargain for all of us.
All anyone would need to do, would be to create a new notifications thread and then copy and paste each of the sets of notifications names in each post. -- Multiple posts are necessary because you can only notify a maximum of 20 people per post (probably to prevent spamming).
I think QVC's notification feature will help keep us informed of the latest new Wen special offers.

Oh thank you Bebe...this is why all WEN folks are lucky you are doing this, because if someone like me were trying, they would find out about OTO's etc. about 6 months after they happened...LOL
again your hard work is much appreciated..
@quadmimi, thanks you so much for your kind words. ![]()
I'm really excited about this new notification system because, for Wen forum regulars (and Wen forum lurkers who would like to be added to the list), this system should help keep Wenners is the Wen OTOs and special offers loop... so that they are less likely to out on special offered.
@aprimo just mentioned that her recent OTO waitlist order in now in process:
@bebe777 I was only able to get this OTO on waitlist because I was too late checking the forum for notifications. But today my waitlist order says "in process". So hopefully that means I will receive it after all. I'm so happy about this because I am loving FTP!
If I remember correctly, she got her notification after the OTO had gone to waitlist but decided to place a waitlist order anyway (lol, I think I helped encourage her to do that)... and now her waitlist order is in process!!! ![]()
aprimo, I'm so glad that your FTP waitlist order is now in process!!! I recently got my (3) FTP CCs with the Wenderful Wen Comb OTO for about $68-9. I really like the FTP CC as well!!
And I was soooo excited to get my fourth wenderful comb!!! over time, as new hair has grown in, the wen comb has done an amazing job of reducing the frizz factor in my hair. I won't be really happy until I have at least half a dozen Wen combs because I put the everywhere and carry a Wen comb at all times... and misplace them occasionally.
I'm hoping for a (3) Winter White Citrus 16oz CCs with Wen comb OTO... lol, and another one for Spring Honey Lilac (SHL)... because that would give me six Wen combs. ![]()

Well, this is the first comb I've used on my hair in... ever? I was just using it to comb the oils through my hair when doing an oil treatment. But someone (might've been @bebe777) mentioned using the WEN comb instead of a brush to reduce frizz. I tried it and it's working great so far. I think I'll still need my brush on ponytail days though.

@bebe777 Are you sure you don't need a seventh comb? That way you have one for every day of the week!
I "only" have three of the combs but so far the first one is holding up well and I haven't started using the other two so hopefully that's enough of a comb stash for now. ![]()

I had 7 Wen Combs, but I gifted two.......now I am left with 5 combs only......
I think I need couple more,
- don't laugh, seriously, because even if I have a good chance of finding one when needed, still sometimes it's not there right away.
Well, in my perfect Wen World, one should be handy anywhere anytime!

Aprimo, I also placed a waitlist order that day, and mine is in process, too, so I hope we both get our orders filled after all. For the life of me I can't remember what about FTP didn't work for my hair, so I am going to try to find out again, and hope it isn't a disaster. I know the SC and mousse will work no matter how the CC does, so I can work with the CC and use it up, it's only 16 ounces, not a gallon.

@CamilleP I hope you get yours too. I stocked up so much because I love the scent of FTP and the performance is good. I find it a little too moisturizing right now when it's still warm and humid, so I'm mixing it with BGT. But when it cools down here and the humidity goes down I am confident that FTP will perform great by itself.

I too, @CamilleP, did not figure out FTP quite well yet. It WAS my very First WEN CC purchased! Almost a year ago, a 32 oz. I still have, maybe 15-20% of the bottle left.
I did love it right away, but then again, I had nothing to compare it to! NOT for long though, pretty soon I had more and more stuff, and ALL of it needed my immediate attention, so FPT was almost forgotten.
Started to pull it out lately, to figure out it's "usefulness" for me for the Fall Wen Extravaganza. but still not quite sure - I love the smell and the feel of it a lot. Performance-wise, still don't know, since I am very much into mixing CCs now.
Today, I did a second cleanse specifically with FTP only. my hair is not "all that" today, but it is probably because I put way too much of Re-Moist Mask as a leave in, I am sure. It's Monday, my stay home/go nowhere day, and my hair has way too much re-moist in.

My hair loved FTP last year so I had stocked up and still had quite a bit left. When I took it out and started using it again when the fall seasonals returned this year I wasn't getting the same results with FTP. I just had another inch of my ends cut off a couple of weeks ago and that seems to have made a difference for me. Also, since my hair had gotten longer I needed to use more CC so as long as I use enough and add a couple of drops of oil to my leave-in that seems to work for me. ![]()

@aprimo, lol, it was probably me because I'm the one who has been singing the praises of the Wenderful Comb!!!!! the loudest for the past few years. ![]()
@quadmimi, lol, you should give the Wenderful Comb!!!!! thread a read through (both for the info as well as the entertainment value *s*). -- I started using Wen in December 2009, but I had been regularly listening to his shows for probably 3-4 years before that. Periodically he would mention how special the saw cut Wen comb was, but it wasn't available on QVC and (with shipping) ir was close to $30 on Chaz's site. It just seemed like too much money to pay for a comb... but I was really intrigued. ![]()
I know that everyone says that they have the most difficult hair to work with but, based on what others have written it this forum, I really think that I have some of the most fragile and damage probably fine hair to work with. Additionally, it's extremely porous: the Fig CC, in particular, literally leaks out of my hair shaft between cleanses.
I don't do any chemical processes to my hair, and I always either air dry it or dry it with my portable fan.
Using Wen CC has been a game changer for my hair. The Remoist and the Styling Creme both help to tame the frizz. But there's only just so much that Wen can do and so I still have frizz issues to deal with.
A few years ago, Chaz had a November Black Friday sale. I think that there was a 15-20% discount on products at his website, and there was free shipping on everything. Well, I immediately ordered the Wen comb (for about $13 total, I think).
Once I got the comb, I stopped using all of my other combs, including the very expensive comb line that I can't remember the name of. -- I was sceptical, I mean it was just a comb after all. Was if going to do tricks or some kind of a light show? ![]()
Every day I checked my hair in the mirror looking for Wen comb miracles. And every day I came away puzzled at what kind of a difference I was supposed to be seeing. This went on for about 4-5 months... but I was steadfast in my use of the Wen comb because Chaz is the man, and I knew he wouldn't steer me wrong. ![]()
Then it happened!!!
One morning, about 4-5 months in, I did my daily hair assessment in the mirror and wow!!!!!... it all made sense!!!
By this point my new hair growth (5-8 inches) and about another 5-7 inches of slightly older hair growth, looked definitively better than the really old hair growth at the ends of my hair. The newer growth was significantly less frizzy that it had been in the past. I still had frizz in the newer section, but it was probably reduced by 35-40%!!! ![]()
Over the next 8-9 months as I cut off the oldest hair ends, I noticed an overall improvement in my hair quality (the frizz factor). From what Chaz has said, what happened was that Chaz's Wen saw cut comb doesn't rough up the hair cuticles the way that other combs do. And those roughed up cuticles are what creates frizz.
Since then, I always carry a Wen comb wherever I go. I have my four Wen combs strategically placed around my apartment:
* my purse
* the bathroom
* my bedroom
* my travel bag
A few weeks ago, I went away for the weekend and somehow my Wen comb was not in my prepacked travel toiletries bag and my other Wen comb was not in my purse (how did I manage to do that???!). Well I needed to cleanse my hair that weekend and, lol, I actually went into a bit of a panic when I realized that I would have to use a non-Wen comb. I actually thought about not cleansing my hair but I had to because my hair was looking dirty. Well, my hair seems to have survived the abuse, but it strengthened my resolve to collect a few more Wen combs... maybe 9-12 would be enough. ![]()
I just got my fourth Wen comb in Chaz's latest, greatest OTO of (3) 16oz. Seasonal CCs plus the wenderful Wen comb for around $68-9. -- This was an amazing OTO and I am hoping that he will repeat it again for the Seasonals in the other seasons. Because, while the CCs in these sets are a great price, well I want/need at least a few more Wen combs.
So here's my take away on the Wen comb. At some point or other, probably each one of us has said: "Why didn't I listen to Chaz the first time?"... lol, I know I've had that thought on a number of occasions. ![]()
So get yourself a Wen comb or two... or maybe five... build up a collection. ![]()
If Chaz has a Black Friday sale again at the end of November, then he might be offering free shipping on all orders. If he does, then this would be your ideal time to pick up the wenderful Wen comb... or combs. ![]()
Your hair will thank you for it. ![]()
-- bebe, with the Wen hair that's (almost) always Wen combed ![]()
