I just started using WEN in May and haven't tried many of the products yet so I'm not sure which formulas work best for me.  There have been a ton of crazy good deals lately, so I have been buying most of them just to get the chance to try a little bit of everything...  Do these deals eventually stop, as my credit card is getting quite a workout!  Should I keep trying to get the ODO offers or is there a better strategy to find out what works best for my hair?  Thanks for any advice!!!!

@peanutjk Welcome to WEN! Chaz offers us many great deals the year through. But June is specials month. We get gallons in the core formulas, returns of seasonal formulas and crazy good deals one after another. So pace yourself, because this is our regular June, but we've all planned ahead, made lists, and strategized.

That said, it is a great month to try kits, so that you can try out different products and formulas. But don't go too crazy and end up with a glut of things you don't want. It would be more important to try more product types, for instance make sure you try oil, and get remoist. Remoists are all the same, just get the smell you want. We also get quite a few kits at Christmas.

Each WEN year begins Sept 1 and a new round of seasonal formulas will start then, so set aside some money for then in case you want to try the brand new seasonal. It will also have its own styling cream, mousse, RTM.

@peanutjk Hi and Welcome!  Kjelle gave great advise!  Since you are still exploring WEN keep in mind that the seasonals are NOT available all year round. Try a small bottle early and you can always go back for more in season if you want it but when the season is over that scent is put away for the year.   You might want to find a "core" product like Lavender or Fig.  that line and the Restorative line like Bamboo Greentea are always available.  June is Gallon month but most of us started out with smaller bottles and only get the gallon once we've found what works best for our own hair.  There's a few 16oz variety sets you might want to look into.  That's enough product to get an idea if you like it or not.  And, yes indeedy, you will find some things that work better than others.  Don't go overboard.  Chaz is generous with his specials all throughout the year!  Welcome and enjoy discovering WEN.

P.S.  the WENNERS on this board are Fantastically helpfull!  bebe777 has posted an open invite/reminder to stop by the June WEN Chat thread during Chaz' 4:00 show to chat while the show is on.  It was great fun during yesterdays show!  Check it out if you can.

@peanutjk As others have said, there are lots of great deals in June but since the seaonals are only there for three months at a time you may want to try the core formulas at some point as well. If you go to Chaz's own website there's a product recommender that helps you decide what might be best for your hair.

I buy most of my Wen as the December TSV, which is five 16-ounce bottles of cleansing conditioner.  This can last me most of the year, as I don't wash my hair with Wen every day.  Sometimes I just rinse it thoroughly and put a two or three pumps of Wen as a leave-in.  I used the regular Wen to start and liked only the Fig.  Then I got the seasonals in the TSV in December 2014.  They were all nice, but when I got the rice restoratives line this past December I found the right Wen for my dry, curly hair.  It adds so much moisture, takes down the frizz to almost nothing, and adds a lot of shine.  I got that TSV on auto-ship and it will go out in August.

I don't like Wen's oils.  The Fig didn't smell very good, and it didn't do much for me.  I have coconut oil that I often mix with my Wen rice as a leave-in conditioner.  I also didn't like the styling cream and would never try the remoist, as it just seems like mostly water to me.

@Ms X I don't find that the re-most really does much for me if I use it overnight or leave it in for a while after cleansing. Lately I've just been adding the re-moist to my second cleanse and I seem to be getting better results that way.

I consider Remoist a waste of money.  Why not just add a bit of Wen oil and cc to a spray bottle full of water?

@Ms X @HSB1204 we have all had our own journey with WEN. I still think a newbie should try remoist and see if it works for them. I would not go without my remoist. I love it and obviously many others do as well, hence the big 8oz size being begged for and being sold periodically. So @peanutjk will need to make up her own mind. It really depends on what type of hair she has in the end. @HSB1204 And I are both AA, and have totally different experiences with remoist.

I agree. We all have different hair types and the re-moist may work better for some than others. I am not AA. I just have thin, fine hair that tends to be fairly dry and I think the oils work better for me.
