Need help figuring out which TSV option to go with

Hi All, my hair is thick, coarse & wavy, very prone to frizzing and does NOT need any help with volume.  My go-to is Fig but unfortunately not an option today.  I suspect Rice would be too drying?  I've had problems with some of the seasonals (Gardenia, Spring Orange Blossom) drying my hair so not too sure about picking the seasonal option.  613 also dried out my hair.  What do you recommend?  Based on my hair type should I just skip todays TSV?  Many thanks!

Of the choices, I'd choose Sweet Almond Mint. My hair is the same as yours. I like the seasonals....but everyone's hair is different.

I would say TT unless you don’t like a TT scent.

Re: Need help figuring out which TSV option to go with

Hi @orclin welcome to the Wen forum!!! Smiley Happy

I've seen @ANewHue @geezerette @Suebdoo and @Drythe around so hopefully they'll add their suggestions as well. Smiley Happy

Since you have thick and coarse hair, you may want to steer clear of:

* Seasonals

* Restoratives (rice based with bamboo water)

* 613/319

All of these formulas have the amina acid complex in them and may have too much protein for your hair on a regular basis.

FYI, I have baby fine hair and have tried almost all of the formulas. -- lol, the only one that doesn't work for me is FIG becasue it weighs my hair down. Smiley Wink

I have two recommendations that I think would work well for you... and one suggestion:

* TSV recommendation -- $77.90 -- Sweet Almond Mint or Tea Tree

* ODO (5) 16oz CLASSIC Cleansing Conditioners suggestion -- $79.90 -- selection of Sweet Almond Mint, Tea Tree, Fig, Lavender and Pomegranate

While Tea Tree has a slightly medicinal scent, it seems to work well for just about everyone. -- Sweet Almond Mint, which has a very nice scent, works well for most people and would probably work well for you.

In addition to the TSV, I'd suggest that you purchase the ODO (5) 16oz CLASSIC Cleansing Conditioners for $79.90. -- This will let you try 5 of the 6 Classic formulas at $16 per 16oz bottle of Cleansing Conditioner which is an amazing value!!!

Make sure that you pick the auto-delivery options so that you can take advantage of these great values in June or August.

I'll be around if you have any more questions.

Best of luck!! Smiley Happy

@orclin@bebe777 gave you great advice.  My hair is the exact opposite of yours but I would recommend sweet almond.  It's very moisturizing, gives great body and it's a good scent as well.  Tea tree is a staple, I always use that on my scalp for my first cleanse. I would try that ODO with the 5 16 oz classic cleansers and maybe pick up the tea tree or Sam TS as @bebe777 recommend.

Hi @Hilary77 it's great to see you around here. I hope life is treating you well and that your holiday season is off to a wenderful start!! Smiley Happy

I love Tea Tree too. It was my original Wen "go to" formula back in 2010... until Chaz came out with 613/319, the Seasonals, and the rice based Restoratives... for my baby fine hair. Smiley Happy

Re: Need help figuring out which TSV option to go with

Okay, I went with the TSV in both TT and SAM.  I love the scents of most of the seasonal's but suspect they'd be too drying for my hair and I like the idea of trying all the classics but my budget just couldn't handle everything I want.  Thank you all so much for taking the time to make suggestions!!
