Good morning!

I completely forgot that today was Wen day!  I have really straight hair and just got layers put in it so I need something to help with my style.  Should I get the mousse or the styling cream.  Appreciate your thoughts.  Thank you!

@lizzys Styling creme is supposed to be a must to protect the hair and cut down on frizz. The mousse adds body and volume. I actually use them both. I would recommend buying both, but if that is not within your budget, you may want  to start with the styling creme.

I started out using non Wen products, then graduated to the styling cream. I only added mousse to my routine within the past year and oh my how I do love it.

@lizzys, welcome to the Wen forum and the wenderful world of Wen!!! Smiley Happy

I agree with what Diva1Donna said above and that if you can swing both purchases you should definitely pick both of them up. Smiley Happy

The styling creme (SC) is supposed to help protect your hair from the heat of your blow dryer. And even if you air dry your hair, as I sometimes do, the SC helps hold/seal needed moisture in your hair.

I have not a lot of baby fin hair and I swear by the mousse, the 613 Mousse (probably also the new 319 Mousse) being my favorite because it also has the added glossing serum complex. -- All of Chaz's Mousses have his smarthold technology that has memory and helps keep your style that way. The Mousse is the only product I have ever used that keeps volume in my baby fine hair in between cleansings (for the full time).

The SC is also in a number of Wen value kits including todya's Wen TSV. Smiley Happy

Re: Mousse or Styling Cream?

@lizzys I'm chiming in as a third voice for getting both if you can! I use them both, and love them. I will also sometimes add more mousse on day 2 to refresh my curls. The ODO of Sping Honey Lilac may be a way to try them together!

Re: Mousse or Styling Cream?

I was thinking of trying the OtO.  I do not need more styling cream really, but don't mind a backup.  I use the volumizing spray on my roots each day and thought about changing to the mousse.  The mousse give a little volume and hold, correct?  And really difference between the volumizing spray and mousse (other than consistency)

i only use styling cream on the shaft and ends of my hair, and volumizing spray on my roots.  The ODo looks interesting but the brush gets pretty bad reviews and I might get the mousse trio instead.

Re: Mousse or Styling Cream?

@yisbuff2 @bebe777 You ladies prefer the mousse over the volumizing soray?  I'm literally at the end of my volumizing spray and considering the mouse ODO or the mousse trio for $69 I believe.  It doesn't contain the new scent, but the trio seems like a better value for me considering I do not wanT the brush and have at least two backup styling creams.  I like the little extra volume and thickness I get in the root area when using the spray...not sure if I should reorder spray or try the mousse.

Very straight, fine, but plentiful hair here.  Just had lengths cut while in Rome!

I use and LOVE  both.  I've found that adding the SC right out of the shower & waiting 'till almost dry to add the mousse is the bomb for my hair!

The SHL mousse,SC, brush oto is a super price!

Admit I was rather piggy about it.

Best wishes with your selection!

Both. You need both for best shine, body and volume. But if you have to choose, and can't get both, then MOUSSE, it creates body, volume and PROTECTION for your hair as well.

But get BOTH, @Mrsq2022. If you can.

Re: Mousse or Styling Cream?

I use both everyday. The ODO price is great even if you do not use the brush
