I would think that they would know better than to go at your head so vigorously with the towel!  My hair used to be very, very thick and strong and so it wasn't so bad.  But now, it has thinned and is fragile and does tangle easily.  This rough treatment is not appreciated at all. I have gotten this at very expensive salons, as well as inexpensive places, so I guess it's all the same!
