What size bottle? Each bottle size has a pump that dispenses a different amount.

I never use the amount they tell you to. Seems like sooo much! Usually 4-6 pumps of the regular pump and 2 of the large. I have fine thinning chin length hair. works for me.

I have chin length hair also. I always do two cleanses. From the 32 oz. bottle with the taller pump, I use 3-4 pumps for the first cleanse and 3-4 pumps for the second cleanse. That is a total of 6-8 pumps. From the 32 oz. bottles with the shorter pump, I use 5-6 pumps for the first cleanse and 5-6 pumps for the second cleanse for a total of 10-12 pumps. From the 16 oz. size, I use 7-8 pumps for the first cleanse and 7-8 pumps for the second cleanse for a total of 14-16 pumps. I am always sure to add a good splash of water to each cleanse to really get it massaged into my scalp and hair. I always rinse really well after both cleanses. I hope this helps. I have used only Wen on my hair for the last 4 years. I love it!!

I have short hair (refer to profile pic). I always do 2 cleanses.
32 oz. bottle with new pump - 3 pumps each cleanse
32 oz. bottle with shorter pump - 6 pumps each cleanse
16 oz. bottle - 9 pumps each cleanse

I also have thick chin-length hair. I use 8-10 pumps per cleanse, no matter the bottle size. That number of pumps gives me the "golf ball" size amount that Chaz recommends. As your hair gets longer, you need more "golf balls"! ![]()

Hi @Theresa1121, it's good to see you around here again. ![]()
I can appreciate your confusion because the 16oz, 3oz and gallon size bottles each dispense a different amount of Wen CC per pump.
Additionally, as you've figured out -- for the 16oz and 32oz bottles (but not the gallon bottle) -- some of the Wen product lines use different types of bottles (and pumps)... and that factors in as well. -- For example, keeping the bottle size constant (e.g. 16oz bottle) ... a pump of a Classic, Restorative, or 613/319 (I think) formula will each give you a different amount of CC.
I'm fairly certain that all the gallon size bottles dispense the same number of pumps.
The simple solution is to always read the instructions on the current Wen CC bottle which you are using, because each bottle gives number of pump guideline on it. ![]()

Wen Cleansing Conditioners using the same style of bottles
Note: I'm pretty sure about this breakdown... but not positive.
Original Wen CC bottles:
* Classic formulas -- Sweet Almond Mint, Tea Tree, Fig, Lavender, Cucumber Aloe & Pomegranate
* Wen Kids formulas -- Apple, Watermelon & Strawberry-Banana
* All twelve Seasonals
Wen 613 and 319 CC bottles:
* When the 613 CC was originally launched, I think that the bottles dispensed about the same amount as the Classic and Wen Kids bottles. -- However, since 613 CC was more concentrated, per the instructions on the bottles, you used fewer pumps of 613 CC to cleanse your hair.
* I noticed that the March 2106 613 CC and 319 CC bottles have been changed. -- While I'm not positive about this, I think that each of these bottles is now delivering more CC per pump that comparable Wen Classic & Wen Kids CC bottles.
Wen Restorative line, Wen Men & Pink Jasmine Peony:
* Restorative formulas (all rice-based) -- Bamboo Green Tea, Mandarin Italian Fig, and Fragrance Free
* Wen Men (rice-based)
* Pink Jasmine Peony (soy-based, limited edition)

Ther's some additional information on this in the use fewer pumps for 613 Cleansing Conditioner than for other CCs & suggested number of pumps to use thread... but it's an older thread, so it doesn't have any information about the newer 613 CC bottles or include information about the newer Restorative line and Wen Men.

Hi @Theresa1121, hopefully the post just above this, will help to clarify how many pumps you should use. It is kind of complicated, if you need more clarification please ask away. ![]()

I use 12-15 pumps from the 16 oz bottles, I think 8ish pumps from the 32 ( I don't have many 32oz bottles at the moment) and 2 pumps from the gallon for each of two cleanses.
My hair is medium texture, thick, wavy and not quite bra strap length at the moment.
The gallon pump dispenses 1 oz of product per pump.

Never was clear on this and just started using again. New taller pump seems to dispense more. I thick chin length hair and using 4 pumps (used 5 with old pump) then one pump just on ends. Does this seem correct and please advise.
@Theresa1121- Chaz has began to say since last summer to really go by "golf ball" size amounts since the amount dispensed from each bottle size is slightly different.
short hair- 1 golf ball per cleanse {total 2 for 2 cleanses }
medium length- 2 golf balls per cleanse { total 4 for 2 cleanses}
long length- 3 golf balls per cleanse {total 6 for 2 cleanses}
hope this helps!
fyi- My hair is to my bra strap thick & wavy/curly and I use 3 golf balls worth for each of my cleanse and with about 1/2 to 1 golf ball amount for my leave in.
