I have other styling products that I use and like, that contain lots of those same things, so I guess I was looking for reason to switch if the wen styling products had some better natural ingredients
It's interesting because I checked out the Teatree styling cream and these are the ingredients. There are five different types of helpful oils, not just aloe.
• Water
• Propylene Glycol
• Cyclopentasiloxane
• Cyclotetrasiloxane
• Phenyl Trimethicone
• Dimethiconol
• C13-14 Isoparaffin
• Polyacrylamide
• Tea Tree Leaf Oil
• Lavender Extract
• Rosemary Leaf Oil
• Peppermint Oil
• Eucalyptus Oil
• Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
• Laureth-7
• Phenoxyethanol
• Ethylhexyglycerin
• Methylisothiazolinone
That's a great suggestion about the Tea Tree on my scalp and fig on the ends, i'm going to give that a try. This morning I used figured as my leave in conditioner on the ends and that worked well too.
I already started trying a TT oil treatment on my scalp. (I actually don't mind the smell years ago I used Teatree products from the body shop). I tried to separate my hair and do dots of oil along the part, but it seems like more of the oil ends up on my hair. I guess during the night it works it's way in.
I keep rubbing the fig oil on my arms it smells so good!
I've tried the Fig styling cream and don't notice a difference between that or the other formulas.
My hair was extremely oily when I started using Wen. When I used shampoo my hair was like an oil slick by the time I was going to bed. My hair is still a little oily but usually not until the next day so it's slowly getting better. The TT oil is great but the TT cleansing conditioner just wasn't enough for me when I started using Wen. I had to use cucumber aloe or else I just couldn't control the oil. It's much better now so I can basically use whatever I feel like.

Well, on the subject of how quickly styling cremes get used up, I've never actually kept track...but I use it every day. On my second day my hair gets wetted down in the shower even though I don't cleanse, so ....I use leave in and styling creme again before I dry my hair! I know Chaz doesn't want us to wet down and dry in between cleanses, but I do anyway...![]()
I only do one pump of styling creme. It seems like I go through a 613 SC in two months? Maybe more.....but I will start keeping track now, LOL.
I only ordered one TSV so far....I'm afraid to order more as I have a dental appt. Thursday and I see some $$ needing to be spent on that. It may cut into my WEN budget! Priorities, priorities........![]()
