SurferWife, are you okay?  Please let us know.  I saw that there was a quake that registered 7.5 magnitude and that's pretty strong.  They issued tsunami warning but that's been cancelled.  I know it was very near Alaska but they mentioned other areas for tidal wave warning, and for the sake of anonymity I won't mention exact locals.

I know there are some here that live in the danger area.  Please post that you're all okay.  Thank you.  It keeps running through my mind and I'm a worrier.  Maybe that's why my hair turned platinum early...lol....

Hawaii frequently has earthquakes. I googled it this morning and they have had 23 in the last 24 hours, but nothing over 2.7.

But the OP referenced the 7.5 earthquake which was off the coast of Alaska.

That's why I was confused by the post to @SurferWife, who lives in Hawaii.

@KingstonsMom I think the concern by the poster was the possible resulting tsunami after Alaska's earthquake; but I could be wrong on that.

I think the poster thought the tsunami could reach Hawaii. I was in Bangkok when the big tsunami wiped out much of Puckett in Thailand, and the newspapers stated that the tsunami had an effect all the way to Hawaii. So, I guess it is possible to feel/see some effects of it coming from Alaska, if strong enough.
