Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

So I decided to try blending the Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin with my other fall scents, first blend was with the FGP, and it was fabulous!!   Performance was amazing and the scent was incredible.   The little kick of ginger spice to the new scent was really nice.   This weekend will try with the FAS, but due to how strong FAS is for scent, the ratio will be way more of the FVWP and a touch of the FAS, that should be yummy! Smiley Happy

I am really loving the new fall scent and its creamy wonderful performance on my curls! 😃

Re: Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

@Denise from Canada - Maybe I will try that - FGP has always been too drying for me, but I love the smell.  It's the opposite with the Vanilla Pumpkin, which works wonderfully for me, performance-wise, not scent-wise.  Maybe the FGP combined with the Vanilla Pumpkin would be perfect.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi @Denise from Canada, it's great to see you back in the Wen forum again. You've been missed. Smiley Happy

Thanks for sharing your Wen Pumpkin experiments. I really appreciate it. Smiley Happy

One of my faorite mixes is equal parts Fall Ginger Pumpkin (FGP), Fall Apple Spice (FAS) and Winter Cranberry Mint (WCM). -- It puts me in a festive holiday mood every time. Smiley Happy

I know that you like the WCM, so I really think you should try adding WCM in. Smiley Happy

Chaz was just talking about the Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin (FGWP). -- He mentioned that the main notes are: Vanilla bean, pumpkin, sandlewood and honey. @HappyDaze, he mentioned that the cinnamon "smooths it out" and that it's NOT spicy like FPG (where ginger was a main note).

@bebe777 I smell absolutely no vanilla bean or pumpkin in the FVWP so I don't know how those can be the main notes. I don't recall reading any reviews where people said they could smell those two.

@HSB1204, lol, I haven't had a chance to read the FVWP reviews yet, so I'm just repeating what Chaz mentioned. NOw I'm really curious to try it. Smiley Happy

Re: Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

@Denise from Canada This is a great tip! I was bummed that the VWP seemed to be a sandalwood scent because that is not a good thing for me. It nakes sense that FGP (or FAS) would mask the scent because they have pretty strong notes. I am not a big mixer so I hadn't considered trying it. I am excited!

Re: Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

Just ordered the styling kit in FVWP. Someone on here said it smelled like Shalimar, the perfume? Which is one of my favorite scents of all time. Even with some of the don't like the scent posts, its sounds like somehting i still may like.

Re: Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

Great minds must think alike - I did the same thing this morning.  It's been a while since I had used FGP, but I remembered that although I love the scent, the performance was not as good as FTP, so I mixed them this morning.

FTP is such a light scent, that the FGP really came thru and I got the performance of the FTP.  Win win.

I highly recommend it!

@bebe777 It's definitely a unique scent. I just finished a 16 oz. bottle and it's very moisturizing for my hair so I decided to get the ODO with the 32 oz. CC and oil.

Re: Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin & Fall Ginger Pumpkin

Denise, when I first got the oil I tried mixing the 2 and they really complement each other nicely.

Last night I tried your suggestion. I cleansed with fig first then did a blend of FGP and fvwp for my second cleanse.  I can't believe how much I am liking the fvwp now. I thought I would do an equal amount of both products but ended up mixing in more of the fvwp.

I have a 32 ounce cc of FGP and I am going to use it up this way.  I don't know why but I smell so much menthol in it now, maybe my sense of smell has changed.  The oil still smells like gingerbread to me. I love autumn and these scents are so fall like to me. Now if only this horrible humid weather would just stop, it might actually feel like autumn.
