Yes, it's happened to me. I still got my stuff. They had to contact the seller to send more over. You can always call QVC and inquire about it. I did and this is what they told me, that they just needed more in stock.

Backorder - an item will go to backorder because the inventory QVC was originally advised of was incorrect. QVC generally gives the manufacturer two weeks to produce/obtain more.
Waitlist - QVC is requesting the manufacturer to produce more to fulfill the list.
