319 vs 613 CC and Dry Oil - Deal is Up!

The new deal is up for the 32 ounce CC along with 7 oz Dry Oil for $59.96 - gret deal! I have only used 319 CC and really like it, but I also like the 613 Dry Oil very much. I remember when 319 first came out, people who used both 319 and 613 said they actually PREFFERED 319 over 613.  Do any of you feel this way? Is there really a difference between the 2? I'm trying to decide which to order : )

@scullychick - I prefer the 319 over the 613 and yes, I see/feel a difference in my hair.

Re: 319 vs 613 CC and Dry Oil - Deal is Up!

I find 613 CC fragrance lovely but the product is drying on my hair.

Is the 319 less drying? Or is it exactly the same formula but no fragrance?

Re: 319 vs 613 CC and Dry Oil - Deal is Up!

hi @scullychick

I started with 613 when it was launched, (there was a great "Try Me" kit), but I switched over to 319 in 2016(?) because I was using a large assortment of WEN formulas at the time, and needed something with a neutral scent that would go with anything.

As far as performance goes I much preferred the 613 CC, mousse, GS, SC, and NIBT over the 319, and so the big switch was a bit of a disappointment for me.

I expected no difference but scent. I find the 613 far richer. Would depend on what your hair and skin needs.

Now as I use up 319 I'm returning to 613, which is hands down my best performing leave in CC, and makes up for the less moisturizing WEN formulas.

I'm narrowing down all WEN to only those with my best results and my absolute favorite scents.

So I'm buying this quart of 613cc and ignoring the quart of 319 cc already sitting unopened in cool storage.

And I look forward to the 613 dry oil.

I bought a duo of 319 dry oil some time ago, still on the first bottle, and wish I'd have opted for the 613 duo instead because I know I'd use it more often.

Re: 319 vs 613 CC and Dry Oil - Deal is Up!

@x Hedge Thank you so much for your detailed response. I have and like the 319 CC but actually want to get the 613 as I love the 613 Dry Oil scent (and performance of course!) I have just never tried it (613 CC) and was afraid it may not perform as well as the 319 does for me. Oh well, I can always use as body wash, etc if I don't like what it does for my hair - but I'm sure I will like it.

Re: 319 vs 613 CC and Dry Oil - Deal is Up!

@scullychick ,

If you ever use a home haircolor, 613cc is similar in richness to the tube of conditioner they include for right after coloring your hair.

The more your hair is screaming for moisture the better you'll like 613.

But it has a paradoxical drying effect on hair that doesn't need that MUCH oomph!

If you feel it's drying, mix it with other CCs.

I can no longer use 613 straight for both first & second cleanse, plus leave in. It's too much now.

But I can mix it with others, like 50/50 with SOB, 319, CA, or TT.

I love the scent of BGT but it drys my hair, had to follow BGT cleanse with 613 used as a remoist type treatment.

If you make your own WEN sugar scrubs, I promise you'll like a 613 scrub.
