@HappyDaze wrote:hmm I find this thread interesting. There are just so many products available out there it just seems like alot of work to try to make something work for your hair when it is making your hair dry/frizzy/dull. Sometimes I think we just need to realize that not everything will work for your hair and we shouldn't have to try so hard to try to force it to. And that's okay!
@HappyDaze I agree. I just tried the 319 VTS for the first time the other day and it seemed to work great. Today that wasn't really the case. I'll give it one more try but generally I haven't had much luck with the VTS so it's far from my favorite product.

I think it could have a tendency to make the hair a bit dry and I tried mixing it with my leave in while hair was soaking wet but I wasn't too happy with that but now I use the 613 VTS after my hair is completely done being blow dried. I shake the bottle really well and from arm's length spray in a circular motion over my head and don't touch hair for around 15 minutes to let it dry and it just softens up but still holds my style. Chaz said in a helicopter motion. I guess he made it for volume. There are some that need/want volume. I really don't need it but I like the soft hold and it really does impart shine to my hair like crazy. I only spritz lightly though. Life SurferWife said don't have a heavy hand. I hope this helped. @HappyDaze, I have baby fine, porous hair and before I started using Wen I couldn't use any leave-in products because they would weigh my hair down and/or make it greasy.
My hair care routine would be simpler if I din't use any Wen leave-in products, but I've found that using them is somewhat helpful... so I go the leaven-in route.
If I'm just hanging around for the weekend, sometimes I'll just do a quick cleanse and not use any leave in products and my hair doesn't look quite as good... definitely less volume, less shine, more frizz, and not as soft and manageable.

Too bad the VTS was drying this time! 😢 I'm surprised. Hopefully it will continue to work well and provide volume on the occasions you use it.

You make a valid point @HappyDaze. The first time I used VTS it didn't work for me. I tried it two or three times and then put it back in my stash. I had a lot in my stash due to the product's inclusion in a TSV. Almost a year later I tried using it again after listening to Chaz present it on air. After listening to the presentation I was able to get great results from using VTS in my leave in and on dry styled hair. I only attempted the product again because I wanted to use up my stash. I agree with you that we should accept that all products won't work for us. 😃
Another interesting product is 613 CC. I loved everything about it from the first use. Then after several months of frequent use it made my hair straw like. I haven't used the CC in 1.5 years. I purchased the 613 kit with the oil a couple of weeks ago (mostly for the oil). Prior to receiving th he kit, I added a few pumps of 613 to my second cleanse to see if my results would remain the same. Amazingly I had great results!! I am now going to incorporate it more often to my cleansing routine. My man is now upset that I'm.stealing his 613 CC. He refers to it as the "nectar of the gods." 😜
All my rambling to say that I'm always willing to give a WEN product a second or third try, but I refuse to use products that don't work for me. 😁

@CoCo87 I decided to skip the VTS today and just used the 319 CC with some WWC oil and WWC SC. My hair felt great again so I must not be able to use the VTS every day.

I still have one and a half 16 oz. bottles of 613. I barely remember the last time I used it because I ended up with dry, crispy hair. Mixing it never seemed to do much for me. Eventually I'll finish up the bottles but definitely won't be buying again!
