Don't fail to buy travel insurance.

 

About 17 years ago my dh and I booked a cruise to Alaska and we decided to opt for travel insurance. About 6 weeks or so before we were scheduled to depart, my doctor decided I need a full hip replacement. I tried to talk him into waiting till after we got back but he was adament--that hip needed to be replaced ASAP.

 

So because we had travel insurance, we had every penney refunded. Without the insuraced we would have been out beaucoup bucks, and the insurance didn't even cost that much, either.
