What do you add to luggage to make it easier to identify?

[ Edited ]

Looking for suggestions--scarf, keychain, stickers etc. What works for someone with black luggage.

Another question. If I buy the 2-piece luggage set where one has a piece of elastic or fabric that goes over the handle, does that count as 1 carry-on piece or 2> Does that mean the 20" piece has to be checked. With all the luggage that got piled up during Christmas, that would make a big difference if it had to be checked.

@geegerbee - I have a covered luggage tag. You have to pull it out to see the name and address. What I do is tie crinkled ribbon, like we use to wrap packages, around the handle. I usually use two colors. I always easily spot my luggage on the carousel.  Smiley Happy

I take a short length of thick red yarn and tie it twice around the handle area.   The same red yard in the same place on each piece gets me out of the baggage area rather quickly.

I use those jelly ID tags (bright colors), curling ribbon (from wrapping presents), and since we traveled over Christmas I had bought Christmas tags (tree, etc) that also had our first names on it.  I just went on a cruise of nearly 4,000 passengers and found our luggage fast.

We use a brightly colored luggage belt that goes around the entire suitcase.  Not only does the bag stand out but it is also extra security for keeping the bag closed.  Highly recommend.

Homemade yarn Pom Pom. Surprisingly, it has stayed on.

I agree with Kaydee50,  a luggage belt.  I got mine from

AAA.  They come in bright colors which you can spot from

a distance.  They do add extra support for the bag to keep

them closed.  You can also get matching luggage tags to

add your name and/or  whatever id you wish to provide.

Tags of bright color. Neon stickers over the bag.  More tags of color.  I did try to buy a neon suitcase online but got scammed. Price too good to be true.  My bad and my stupidty but got my money back from Chase card.
