I've enjoyed your picture.  Despite what others think, Venice (and surrounding islands) is (are) one of our favorite places.  We've returned many times and hope to continue visiting.

Sorry - but when every photo is breathtaking, I just have to post more than necessary!  This is the beautiful Bay of Kotor.

The ship had been requested to leave Venice late, which effected our time in Montenegro.  When I got to my cabin, I had a notice that some parts of my tour were canceled and a partial refund issued.  In addition, we weren’t cleared to disembark in a timely manner, cutting our tour short again.

I had hoped to provide commentary, but it’s late and I have an early wake up.  Unfortunately, I need to cut that part out.

We first took a scenic drive up the mountains. Note the letter “M” named after an early Queen.

The road was tight

Particularly when we had other buses coming from the other direction 

There was only inches between us and the other vehicles and the side of the mountain.

But we made it to our lookout

We also went to a village to try some smoked ham, cheese and black wine (not called red)

The next photo is for @World Traveler.  She mentioned that Montenegro is supposed to have very tall, handsome men.  But, I didn’t really notice anyone particularly tall.  Except when we got to the restaurant.  You’re welcome.

We drove through more of the beautiful countryside.  The road was wider and newly paved, so we had no more close calls or games of chicken.

Because this is a cruise excursion, of course the shopping portion wasn’t cut out.  Montenegro is apparently known for leather items.  We went to a fashion show (in which the only photo I took was also the most boring! LOL)

Surprise! We were then led into the store to shop.  Actually I came close to buying a nice leather backpack, but stopped myself.  I just got the recent TSV bag from QVC, so I didn’t need another.

@Alter Ego Montenegro men! LOL!!!! Thank you so much for the photo and thinking of me when you saw him. Maybe when they leave Montenegro, they shrink? ha!

Oh, and your luggage wheel? OMG! Will you have to carry it when disembark and go traipsing thru the airport? Serious damage.

Love, love, love your photos. You are so much better at just doing mainly photos and less "yaking" like I do when I post my trip reviews.

Hope the weather and everything else is all you expect it to be.

Our guide received word that the last tender was going to be 7:30 vs 7:15.  This gave us a very short time for a walking tour of the old city. Even so, only 5 of us took him up on the offer.  A very short walk.

Even though they they extended the time for the last tender, it was only us 5 and 2 other girls on the boat!!

That’s it from Montenegro! Will next be reporting from Corfu.

And this is why you never cruise to go to one particular port.

This was just slid under my door.

I’m disappointed as that was a real highlight of the cruise for me.  I didn’t expect to miss it, but that’s cruising.

@Alter Ego So sorry you are missing that beautiful little island and its windmills. I was hoping you would rent a scooter and go on the other side of the port and check out the nude beach. I would have recognized your selfie from that beach, as I have come familiar with your unique "dot" of a head! LOL!!!

Truly am sorry. What a disappointment. Bummer.

I actually had an entire bit set up about your ... fixation (?)...with the nude beaches!!

I was going to say that I ended up going just for you, blah blah blah and I had the picture to prove it!!
