@Alter Ego "plunge in" may be a clue about water. Perhaps you are going to a place that has a high cliff where you jump off and "plunge" into the water below. 

Well, obviously I'm not the sleuth I thought I was. I have no idea whatsoever. Soon you will be posting photos and I will FINALLY know where you are. LOL!!!

Clue #6 - Birds are the highlight of this trip!

Maybe my expectation is too high, but I’m expecting to see thousands and thousands of birds.  And babies!  Really hope to see fluffy baby birds. 💜

Note: the cats are not the same location that the birds are.  Going to two locations and the first is just a natural side trip of the second (when you go that far, you may as well add on a few days there). Clues from #3 on refer to 2nd (main) location.  Both are well known and if you knew one than you would know the other.
