@I am still oxox I like the look of the pack-it-flat toiletry bag.  Do any of you remember the Freedom Bag toiletry bag from oh so many years ago here on QVC.  Think Joy Mangano sold them.  I still have the big one that she sold and use it every time I travel and I pack it in my checked bag.  It holds a lot of stuff!  This one however looks like it would be flatter which would be nice.

Have you looked at the Vera Bradley organizers?  QVC has one:

It it might be too big, as you mentioned "compact",  but I always travel with mine and just adjust the amount of things I put in it.  I like it because it is soft and flat.

Anyone have experience or opinions on this item?

I have this one by Mary Kay. The pouches are removable and it has a hanger. I've had mine a long time. When I got it there was nothing else like it. I had to order a lot of items to get it! Now you can find it on other sites. It goes everywhere with me:

@beach-mom how big is the Mary Kay bag once its all rolled up?  The picture looks big to me but that just may be the way its photographed.
