Public television has so many travel shows already. My favorite is Globe Trekker; it's reminiscent of the Lonely Planet guides. They visit unusual and challenging places - not safe and comfortable spots in the US and Europe.
I loved her shows on the TC. I look forward to her new PBS series.

As a Texas native, I can't imagine putting Houston in the same category as the other places listed. Not even close, even to the worst of the rest. Good grief.

@World Traveler wrote:@VaBelle35 I checked the PBS schedule and all I am seeing in my area of the country is The Best of PBS for hours and hours. Is she to be a part of that or are you finding her listed under her own name as a program upcoming? Maybe it will be a week or two later in my area than when you are showing it to be for you? Hope so.
I follow Samantha Brown on Facebook and she just posted a handy guide for where to catch her show (obviously, adjust for spacing as Q won’t let us post links.)

I’ve seen Samantha Brown speak and she is exactly how she seems on TV. I admit I liked her before I saw her, but really became a fan afterwards. Looking forward to her new show!

Sam Brown show here is on 1/6. YAY! I have set to record.
Different area PBS shows different days and times.

@gacat123 Good to hear from you. Haven't seen many posts of yours lately.
Took @Alter Ego's advice and checked out her website. Found when it will be on in my area. Looking forward to watching it!

The first episode (Houston) was okay. She is definitely being serious in this show and not as goofy as she was in her previous shows.

My husband and I tried to watch the "Houston" episode last night. Yawn! Switched channels after the first ten minutes.
Interested to see the Donegal, Ireland episode. When we visited that sheep farm (in 2011!) the owner mentioned that Samantha Brown had just been there filming. Wonder if that old footage will be featured, or if she filmed it again?

I used to love watching Samatha Brown’s shows on the Travel Channel. Hope my PBS channel carries her new series.

The Houston show was slow and boring to me too. <yawn>
Hope her next shows are better.
