I am terrified of snakes.  All snakes.  LAst week there was a dead one in my yard.  it was relatively small about 18 inches long about 1.5 inches in diameter.  I got a rake and scooped it up in the tines and carried it with my arm outstretched across the road to the common area and dumped it.  if it had been alive I know I would not have been able to do that.
