Passports issued in the last 10-12 yrs have a chip in them too and should be protected.  I got RFID sleeves at the Container Store.

I always buy an RFID wallet.  I also have an RFID sleeve for my passport.  Thieves keep  getting smarter and about 3 years ago I had to replace my credit cards 4 separate times in a relatively short period.

Very few cc use rfid, so you probably don't need rfid protection. You can tell if your cc uses rfid by the symbol on the card. If your card does use rfid, aluminum foil will ptotect it.

I think I just get RFID protected handbags/wallets just to make sure. Kind of a security blanket for me. ha!
