Re: Question for all the Cruise Literates?

@ruthbe

I've been on several of the riverboat cruises in Germany and France. My favorite is the Christmas markets through Germany and Austria.

You're spoiled and you get quite a bit of time to explore by yourself and shop. The food is excellent-better than and big ship cruise.
It's more intimate and you get to know other passengers.

My favorite is Uniworld Riverboat Cruises, I've been on several with them.
When I cruised with them, there was a maximum of 190 passengers.

Not well traveled but did sail on Viking for first time this spring.  The service and food was totally lovely. I felt like someone important!  Size of ship was great because I was not concerned that I would get lost.  I must say not as much evening entertainment as I had anticipated, but usually too tired from activities anyway.
