POWER GENERATORS

@katie1859  I am not familiar with the brands you mentioned. We purchased the Eco Flow that is offered at HSN and QVC.  We bought the extra solar panels for total of 6.  We tried charging the generator on a sunny 90 degree day in SW Florida.  We did this for two days.  It never charged more than 1/4 full.  You could charge it by plugging in the wall to have ready, but our reason was for hurricane season.  The panels are huge and cumbersome.  My DH even built a stand for them.  It was not worth the $$ or the hassle for such little performance.  Fully charged it would run a wall AC unit and a freezer for around 10 hours.

We packed it up and sent it back.  I notice that they have them marked down since we bought ours.

Read the reviews.  Make sure you can return if you aren't satisfied.

All the best.

I thought solar panels stored energy until you need it?

I did buy back in February 2022 A portable power station PowerOne by Ecoflow from the Q  .Did not know if I did right as the first year we didn't have any power outages and was kind of  expensive, but this year we did lose our power .Out came the box will admit it is a bit heavy ,the power was still showing full 99%  from the one charge we did the previous year was happy over that .Was able to hook our Keurig  to it and had our  morning coffee and  went online to pass the time, plugged in a fan to, was just a few hours without power  but was piece of mind knowing we can now have coffee and in the evening lights on  to get around  in the house.

@Mimi NY  Have you tried recharging it with the solar panels yet?  If so, how long did it take?  Charging it by electricity didn't take very long.....a few hours.  The point for us was to be able to charge it with the solar panels.

Glad it worked out for you!

@tends2dogs  I didn't get the one with the solar panels as I didn't think I get that much sunshine in the winter months  so it would probably  take forever to charge and might not. Maybe if I lived in sunny Florida I  would had gotten the panels for sure.

Sorry I  couldn't help you out with your question.

@Mimi NY  I had mentioned in a post above that we did buy the solar panels and after two days of 90 degree sunny weather in SW Florida, they were only half charged. A deal breaker for us.

I just wondered if you had better luck. Thanks for responding!
