We have been 3 times. 1st trip was to Oahu and Maui, 2nd time was just to Maui, and 3rd time to just The Big Island.

 

Maui is my favorite. There is lots to do on all of the islands, especially Oahu, and Maui.....Of course there is the volcano on the Big Island.....I would do some research based on what is important for you to see.

 

It is very expensive, so keep that in mind. The 2dn time we went just to Maui, wee stayed at a condo, and it was so much nicer, being able to cook some meals at home versus eating out all of the time. That gets to be super expensive!

 

Depending on how long you plan on being there will determine how many Islands to go to as well....The 1st time we stayed in Oahu for 3 days, and Maui for 4.

 

The 2nd time we stayed on Maui for 8 days(was wonderful).

 

The 3rd time we went to The Big Island for 8 days as well...It was so nice! I think our favorite time of year to go was March. We live in the Midwest, and it was so nice to get away in winter......
