Reiki604.........I was not being critical of city.  I love NYC!  It is a fun city!  After a few visits with no problems, my last visit in Fall of 2017 left a bad taste in my mouth for cab drivers.  I have had many good cab rides in NYC...no problems and that is why I was so surprised by this.   But, I said "most are honest and friendly"!  Unfortunately, my friend and I ran into a couple of scam artists last fall.  I DID TIP plenty on top of fare!  The driver quickly grabs a 10 or 20 and slips it down.  Then he flashes the remainder of cash and says "you did not pay enough"....then you feel like it was your mistake....it wasn't.  It happens.  I am just suggesting people count money out to cab drivers.....then no question!  I will return to NYC but, if I use cabs, will count money out!!!
