I know someone going end of December; I assume it would be over by then. Would be fascinating to see.

We returned last week from a two week trip to Maui.  There were already warnings about the volcano on Big Island but we were concerned that if it erupted around the time we were there that it might impact flights in the area.  I've been to Big Island several times and have seen the lava fields ( last time they took us to an area where lava had recently flowed over tops of fences and people would eventually rebuild heir homes over that!

There are some new pictures and videos that are quite an awesome sight. I recommend our local news site - hawaiinewsnow.com
