Would love to take my grandson to a resort for a week in July.
He is 4. I love the big hotels like Westin and Hilton and Marriott.
Anyone know a place that is great and also has a kids camp??
This way I can get a break too lol.
Looking somewhere down south.
Thanks

South in July will be hot. I'd look for one of those Great Wolf Lodge places. From what I've heard of them, they're great for a 4 yr old boy.

Go to your local travel agent.

@qvc chick - Where are you coming from? Anywhere "down South" is extremely hot & humid. Also, it is hurricane season so I'd be very careful where you choose.

We all have our own ideas of what would be fun on a vacation, but down south in the excessive heat and humidity with a toddler is NOT my idea of a good time.
I would look for a more moderate climate and perhaps a "camp" program of some sort.
Good luck ...

@ThinkingOutLoud Up here in WA state there's a Great Wolf Lodge. A friend and her husband have taken their kids a few times. One was abou 5. They had a blast.

@qvc chick I've been to Lousiana in the summer as well as Alabama. The south is HOT in the summer. I'd look elsewhere, especially with a toddler. They don't tolerate that heat all that well.

I would say the Jersey shore, like Wildwood Crest or Cape May, but I don't know about summer camps. I used to take my nephews every summer to Cape May. We always had fun.

a week away from home is a long time for child that age. a waterpark or some type of them park day trip would be fun.
i wouldn't trust leaving a young child at a "Kid's camp". not safe!

@qvc chick Is the child used to being away from the parents for that long? A week seems like forever to a toddler.
And as a gran of 3 NO WAY would I entrust a toddler to strangers at any kind of camp.
What do the parents say?
