HURRICAINE DAMAGE WHERE VACATION PLANNED

Can anyone who lives in Savannah or Charleston tell me the extent of hurricane damage to those areas?

We have a vacation booked end of Oct. for several days in each city....

Re: HURRICAINE DAMAGE WHERE VACATION PLANNED

My husband's niece lives in Savannah, they had no problems. In fact yesterday her daughter attended a Tea Party Birthday Party. All the girls were dressed up and each girl was given a hat. It really looked nice.

And two years ago we were meeting 4 other couples in Charleston for a week. The week before a hurricane blew through. The place we were staying had no damage. We called the reator and they said everything was fine. And it was.

Our biggest probem was driving to Charleton and back home. There were so many detours - Route 95 was closed driving down and driving home. It took us FOREVER to get there and to get home again.

@Shanus  You'd better wait awhile before asking about hurricane damage.  There are several more lined up out in the ocean that could go up the East Coast.

@Kachina624  You're right. May try heading north or east to the mountains, although may be chilly in November.

Hurricane Maria is predicted to hit South Carolina and North Carolina later this week.  Currently, Charleston is fine (a friend lives there he just had some branches down on his property).
