Going to Atlantic City- any hotel recommendations?

Going later this month with a couple friends. Want to feel safe & stay at one of the casinos. My goodness- the rates aren't bad but then they add in resort fees, taxes & other fees. Plus I wonder how much parking is...

Anyone been there lately & have some recommendations? TIA. 😀

Borgata at the Marina, it is a beautiful hotel and away from all the Boardwalk stuff. Its a newer hotel and it is beautiful, we stayed there a few years ago

My husband and I have stayed at many of the casinos and each one has something we enjoy.  I agree that you would like the Borgata.  It also has indoor and outdoor pools and excellent restaurants.   Enjoy and good luck!!!

Don't know abt the hotels on the Boardwalk m but the Marriott Fairway villages condos   just a few miles away  are very nice . The JD Thompson Inn  B&B was very nice to stay at in Tuckerton .

Thanks- The Borgata is on our list but it wasn't as close to Boardwalk as I thought. I would like to be walking distance.

@Tribesters

I have been to AC several times and find the Boardwalk too honky tonky and sleezy it is easy to drive and park and walk around the Boardwalk. Twice we have stayed totally away from AC in Brignatine and enjoyed the nightlife and gone back to quiet

Borgata, Harrah's & Golden Nugget are actually in Brigantine, N.J. a/k/a "The Marina."

All the others are on the boardwalk.  If you want to stay at a casino hotel......

They are all Covid safe.  Stiff protocols.   Resorts has the best COVID safty protocols of all the casinos.  Resorts caters to "seniors."

Boardwalk:  You will be taking a risk because social distancing is nearlly impossible & NOT everyone are wearing masks.  That being said, at the time you are going - AFTER Labor Day weekend, the boardwalk will be much safer.  Less crowds from out of state, no college kids knuckleheads, no crumb snatchers, ankle biters & petri dishes w/legs running all over the boardwalk, etc.

The boardwalk should be more enjoyable after Labor Day weekend.

In N.J. masks are mandatory indoors & out for everyone 2 yrs on up.

Sept 4 - Indoor dining will be allowed.  The casinos are jumping w/joy & doing flip flops.

Indoor swimming is an iffy.  Depends on the casino.  Harrah's pool is open because it's indoor/outdoor.

Borgata pools indoor & outdoor are closed.  Don't know what will happen after Sept 4th.

Last month I stayed at Harrah's because I did not want to be anywhere near the boardwalk.

I will be staying at Borgata next week for a few days.

I will NOT be hitting to boardwalk till Thanksgiving week.  Then I will be wearing a face shield as well as masks.

STRONGLY suggest that you wear gloves playing slots.

Not sure by what you mean by "safe."  Casino parking lots are HUGE & safe.  Plenty of security on site.  However, things do happen.  Use common sense (don't flash your $$$$ ANYWHERE).  Safty in numbers.  Me personally, I would NEVER go to one alone.

Wear fanny packs, cross body "zipper" bags facing FRONT.  Pick pockets are the norm.  Again, use common sense.

Go to the casino website & read up on all their Covid protocals.

===================================

The only non casino boardwalk hotel I am familiar w/is Atlantic Palace.  All condos which you can rent at regular hotel prices.

I use to stay there when the grands were "babies."

Place is like Fort Knox.  Extremely safe.
