Drago's - best chargilled oysters (located in Riverside Hilton)

Doris Metropolitan - great steaks

Court of Two Sisters - has a great brunch

Port of Call - great hamburgers

Cafe duMonde - beignetsSmiley Happy

@Alter Ego  and All,

Thanks for the New Orleans  *Shout Out* !!

I read all the suggestions here and totally agree with them all.

I am sensitive to spicy food myself but you can request go light with spicy !!

New Orleans is a great place to enjoy great fresh Seafood.

One place I have not seen listed is  *The Acme Oyster* ??  (think that is the name)

anyway, it is a very laid back casual LOCALS kinda place that has high ratings on YELP.

We went there for a great lunch of sizzling roasted on the shell oysters and cold beer.

Take the trolley through the Garden District and enjoy all of the "old money" mansions.  Beautiful.

it is fun to ride the trolley, but i also suggest a walking tour of the garden district. you will see and hear a lot of wonderful history and stories.
