Google Galveston Shuttle. They go from Hobby to Galveston. Their phone # is 409 740-5466. I also read Uber charges about $59 but can be higher depending on time of day and other factors.

@Mz iMac Thank you for your response. AAA will help with those things. The cruise is not until the end of December. While AAA will assist (I will book my own flights)............I just wondered if others had cruised out of that port..................what airline they might have flown....................what hotel they used, etc.

We will definitely be spending the night before in a hotel. I have heard many stories of people missing their cruise departure as they had unexpected flight delays when they fly the day of cruise departure. Thanks again.

@kze Thank you so much for providing that information and the phone number. We will definitely want to transport from the airport to a hotel somewhere near the dock. The next morning (cruise departure day) we will transport to the dock. Thanks again.

@QPrincess. Great planning to stay the night before. Friends recently missed their original flight because they didn't arrive at the local airport timely. Sadly, the plane was still there, but the airline would not let them board since doors were closed. Had to drive two hours, get another same day flight and arrived in Florida at the dock just as cruise was making final boarding.

A lot of mess, stress and expense for just not wanting to be too early at the airport. Crazy. I probably arrive earlier than needed, but less stress, and just go get a coffee and relax.

@lynnie61 Thank you for your response. We have taken a few cruises and have always stayed in a hotel the night before. Fortunately, I was aware of the horror stories of people who missed their cruise departure due to airline delays.
