Cruise Help leaving from New York

I am back, looking for help for our New England/Canada cruise during "leaf season" in the fall.  We fly into LaGuardia Airport, and depart the next day from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.  Has anyone had a good (or bad) experience with hotels in the area?  We are trying to plan as much of this vacation as possible by ourselves.  Any other info would be GREATLY appreciated.

@mac116  My friend cruises from the Brooklyn Terminal every summer. She stays at the Look Hotel in Red Hook. It’s about a half mile from the cruise terminal. She gets there the day before.I don’t remember if the hotel has a free shuttle to the terminal or not.You can always hop a cab.It would only take about 10 minutes.

Ask your travel agent or the Cruise line is they recommend any hotel in particular

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
