I am looking to fly to an all inclusive resort on a fun island with my sister in late October. If it has airport transpotation to and from the resort that would be great too.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did a Caribbean cruise. Never again! It was hot and humid and it was February. Not my cup of tea.

@Luvitorleaveit1 @for whichever islands you plan on visiting, check each's average days with rain for the month of October. Some islands have a lot of rain and some don't. You can also check other weather data for each location.

There are many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, at many different price points. Most travel agents can set you up with a program that includes transportation between the airport and the resort, either via tour bus or something private, whichever you prefer. Jamaica, Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), St. Thomas, even Cancun/Mexican Riviera - which is considered part of the Caribbean - are just a few of the most popular.

@Luvitorleaveit1 Use a travel agent.
The official hurricane season runs between June 1st and November 30th but the period of highest concern is just between mid-August and early October.
The travel agent will advise you which "inclusive resorts" & "fun islands" can handle hurricanes if one occurs.

I wouldn't go to the Caribbean during hurricane season.

Club Med in the Turks and Caicos is beautiful if you like diving and snorkeling.

I heard Sandals is good. No experience with them, just word of mouth. Have you considered a cruise? Cruises are my preferred way to travel now. Just be aware of seasons. Hurricane season starts in June and ends in October.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. I think I will use a travel agent since we both have been to so many beautiful islands and was looking for some place new to visit.

@Luvitorleaveit1 We have done several islands in the Caribbean over many years. Sandals has some lovely resorts. I have to give a word of caution though, another poster stated the resorts can handle hurricanes if one comes through. NOT true in all cases......I had the experience of a hurricane in St Lucia at a Sandals resort and let me tell you it was a horror show. No water, no food could get to the resort and the workers were cutting fallen trees with machete's, not even kidding. (no chainsaws) We were stranded for 3 days there and were to the point of "hiding" bottled water as we could not shower as there was no running water. So sorry to be a Debbie Downer but it's true and also the crime is getting bad on some of the islands. Be very careful which one you choose.
Just FYI my cousin recently visited St Martin (1/2 Dutch 1/2 French) and that island seemed quite safe to her.
