I understand the remarks. Just like St Thomas VI, beautiful beaches but if you venture outside the tourist areas, there you will see poverty and probably crime.

So jealous, Reiki604, I fell in love with Cuba when I worked with a nurse that emigrated from there in the late 50's..she told me beautiful stories when we were on our breaks..she was never able to return to visit her family. I still can hear her beautiful accent.

@Then my nephew was stationed with the Navy @ Guantanamo, for 4 years..unfortunately they were rarely allowed to leave the base!

Sadly this is exactly what Cuba is. If I get lost you will never find me in that Caribbean island there are many others. Try St. Lucia or Dominica.🌻And I love to travel and explore the world like tropics 21 does however if when I cruise the Caribbean is to charge my batteries and get some vitamíne D, generate serotonine, dopamine, run away from the never ending cold...not go back home drepessed. I admit that de gustibus non est disputandum.
