Is a long weekend trip to Charleston, SC worth it?  Is there a lot to do and see and, hopefully, somewhat kid friendly.  I live in GA, so we can drive.

As long as it's not during hurricane season.

Depends on what you like to do, it's a lovely city.

It's a fabulous city; sightseeing, great shopping and outstanding restaurants.  You'll wish you had longer than a weekend.

@ScrapHappy

Charleston is a beautiful city and a 'sister' city to my hometown, Savannah, GA.

I agree that you'll wish you had more than a long weekend to spend there!

And if you like Charleston, try Savannah next!

Since I am near @KingstonsMom's sister city, I agree with all she said! You will definitely wish you had more time. Restaurants are terrific.

I would advise against the summer months - it gets very HOT and HUMID.

@ScrapHappy  We enjoy the city, but avoid the hot, humid months....can get brutal.
