Beautiful State-Arkansas!

We just returned from a trip to Little Rock,where our church had a 4 day Seminar. What a beautiful state...Everyone was super friendly, we had great food, it was a wonderful time.

Hubby and I decided to go back on a road trip in the future where we can spend more time sightseeing and getting to know the area......

We overnighted in Cape Girardeau, Missouri-such a cute little town. Perfect place to overnight as well......

Sounds nice @CANDLEQUEEN ...I've never been to Arkansas! Glad you had a nice visit there.

Never been to Missouri either, but have a friend and his wife, originally from NJ, who moved out there about 6 or 7 yrs ago, maybe even longer now...to be near their daughter, and they love it there. After the taxes in NJ, he felt like he was in heaven. I think his home tax for a 2400 sf fairly new house, on an acre of land is about $3200 a year...he used to pay about triple or more over that. My 1050 sf, condo in CT is 3400 a year! Anyway, they love it there.

We go through AR every time we drive to FL.

We always get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic around the Port Hubs? All we can see is semi trucks as far as you can see.

DH missed our exit while going past W. Memphis when all the sudden we see street walkers in the middle of the afternoon. I told DH we are in the wrong neighborhood?

Several locations for David's Burgers in AR if you are ever back in the area. They are fresh made yummy. Homemade fries are good too.

We live in Springfield, Missouri, and our cost of living is much less here. We are less than 2 hours from NW Arkansas (Jasper/Ponca/Boxley Valley), which is one of the prettiest areas I've ever seen! We hike there at least once a year. Fall is GORGEOUS! It gives other areas known for fall colors a run for their money. Many pretty places in both states!

Thank you for your nice review of my state and Missouri also. We usually get a lot of negative comments. I live in the Ozarks near the Buffalo River where I grew up. It's where my heart is. Travel to Missouri often, my sister lives there. I think you can find beautiful places in every state and some not so much.
