I would like to take my grandkids to Atlantis next year. I got on their web site and it is very confusing and overwhelming. Has anyone ever been there? Any suggestions would be wonderful.

It is a very nice resort and your grandkids will probably love it. The slides are tons of fun. I would recommend an all in one type package that includes food and beverages. Do as much as you can while you are there, including water sports. The ocean is gorgeous in the Bahamas.

Then I strongly suggest that you go through a travel agency. I also agree w/sassenach1, that you should go w/the all inclusive package deal since you will have children w/you.
You GC will have a ball as well as yourself. Atlantis Resort is DA BOMB!!!!

I am such an idiot!
Thought you wanted to search for the ancient site of Atlantis.

Agree with IMac. Book direct with Atlantis or a travel agent- but do not book with any site such as Expedia, Hotel.com, etc.

Don't feel bad ... that was my first thought seeing the title!

I have never been there, but my SIL and her family and a bunch of her friends go every year. They love it.
They actually have a time share there. I always supposed that it was a time share place where people will rent out their places that are not occupied.
I have been to places like that in Williamsburg, VA. The anemities are all the same, but the actual unit you stay in is owned by people and not the resort. Some of the rooms will be nicer than others and the prices will differ.
i could be wrong, but that is what I have gotten out of the info my SIL gave me.

The Atlantis is HUGE, the resort is beutiful and alwasy crowded. I have walked thru the hotel many years ago when we stayed at the Club Med that was very close

Stay at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. You have full access to Atlantis. Right across the street. Plus, you get a full buffet breakfast included.
