Re: Ashville, NC - Girls Weekend in November

@VaBelle35

 Victoria Magazine is hosting a holiday event November 10-12 at the Biltmore Estate.  I wish I could afford to go, it looks pretty amazing.

@GingerPeach

I'm in Maryland and many years back, my husband and I traveled to Biltmore the first weekend they had the Christmas decorations up.

Without question, it was one of my favorite trips.  At the time, they didn't have any hotels on the grounds (they do now), so we stayed someplace close by.  I don't think it was all that expensive, but not fancy, either.

We did dinner the first night at the rennovated stable and did at least 3 behind the scene tours in addition to the regular house tour.

It was fascinating and so enjoyable.  Amazing to see a 40 ft. live tree all decorated INSIDE the dining room.  Just breathtaking.

I used to get Victoria magazine, but have not looked at it in years.

Those photos just reminded me how magical it really is.

If you ever get the chance, you must go!

Asheville is one of my favorite places!  I head there a few times a year and usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn or the Foundry Hotel.  Both are in the downtown Asheville area, which is walking distance to all the shopping, bars, and restaurants.  There is also an AC Marriott hotel in the center of downtown.

Great city, definitely make reservations for the Biltmore House!  Hopefully the house and Biltmore grounds will be decorated for Christmas when you are in town.

Have a great trip!
