My neighbor that is a Native Alaskan moved here 4 years ago.  In 2021 She, myself and 2 other ladies (we are all senior citizens) flew to Anchorage, rented an RV and spent 3 weeks.  She could drive that thing like a VW!  We visited her family and friends and she took us to so many places the average tourist does not see.  Anyway----my question is this.  Anyone here live in AK that could suggest hotels, B&B, lodging for Palmer, Homer, Kenai, Valdez areas?

My niece and myself are going to fly into Anchorage and rent a car for 10 days.  My neighbor helped with our itinerary.  But, she has been gone too long and with Covid etc. she doesn't know about lodging now.

I have Googled til I am "hotel blind"! lol

Thanks for any info!

@pietook    I remember when you were planning your first trip to Alaska.  It must have been a huge success.

I only recall a couple of posters from Alaska over the years and haven't seen them lately.

Have you tried contacting this source?  It might be your best bet as a central registry.

@pietook   Walk into every travel agency in your area & pick up all the booklets on Alaska.  You'll find all the hotel, etc info you will need = info overload!!!

The booklets are FREE!

@pietook, have you ever checked out TripAdvisor? They have a forum for all areas. I don't know how active their Alaska board is, or how many cities are subsections, but I think there's always a good combination of locals and tourists contributing information.
