plus size girl in the Gili Jetsetter maxi dress

I wear an XL.  I have a large saggy belly due to weight loss.  I am 5'4". 175 pounds, measurementa 46-38-48 .  Do you think this dress would be flattering?  Please be honest

The description states that it's a fitted dress. I would have to wear something to cover up so it's a no go for me.

I love that dress and would love to own it but , in fact, I am also a plus size woman and I feel it would probably cling to every bump, so I'm taking a pass on it.

i also do not want to wear a coverup, I live in South Carolina.  I like the sleeve lenght and print.  Thank you.  I guess if I have to ask, it is not for me

@Laura1960  I think only you can answer that question and how comfortable you are with your body.  If you love it and will feel comfortable wearing the dress....go for it.  It is a really cute dress.

@Laura1960@phoenixbrd is correct, you have to be comfortable to wear it.  But I am close to your situation and the  big print will camoflage the bumps etc.  You can also wear a little jean jacket that would help.  I just love this dress.  The only reason I am not getting it is because I am a Linea Lady and I am waiting for his.

Big prints don't camouflage anything: they accentuate it and make it look bigger.  I think that's the problem with the TSV, all except the solid black have large loud plants or flowers.  The nature of those prints would give me pause.

I am not plus size, but I have larger upper arms.  I have noticed that the material is tight on the arms even on the stick thin models.  For that reason, the dress would be a pass for me.

I am also not a fan of the loud large prints or boring black color. The dress is sold in petite sizes, but large prints are not flattering on a short person like me.

I wish they would show petite large or extra large models in the dress. I don't know if I could pull this off? i'm 5'3", busty, and have a middle-age build. Any shorter woman that bought the prior dress, how did it look on you? Laura I don't know what to do also.

Re: plus size girl in the Gili Jetsetter maxi dress

I think some of the tropical prints don't seem as big on this dress and would be very flattering, especially if you have an hourglass figure like you do.I looked at this dress too and it is pretty esp. the blue one on the models, even with the large flowers.

It seems to have a panel that covers some of the slit so the slit is only up to a little above the knee.

If that wasn't there, I would think it would be too high of a slit!

The only negative I noticed was the back of the dress which you can see on one of the pictures showing the back.

The flower is cut in 2 on the seam.

It seems there was no effort to place the seam in a place that wouldn't cut some flowers in half and it does look odd.
