The Books section of the Fire is the Kindle. You can shop, download samples, purchase and read content from Kindle or borrowed from a public library with eBooks.

If you already have a Kindle it's very easy to transfer your books over.

If you register your Kindle Fire to the same Amazon account as your books, your books should show under “Books”. Then you would touch the book you want and it will download so you can read it. All of the books that you have purchased will be “Archived” and you just touch to download when ready.

Good tablet for smaller kids, but doesn’t compare to an Ipad. The silk browser is awful & slow. My Fire from QVC only lasted a little over a year. My Fire 7 from Amazon lasted 4 years. Went to an Ipad from there.
