Re: Wicker Park TSV - September 5, 2024

I have to agree they have a fake look to them.  I just cannot bring myself to put out "fake" flowers anytime of year, especially when the real mums are so beautiful and easy to take care of.  Easy pass.

It's cute, but we just bought a new Honda CRV yesterday. I better settle down with spending for awhile.

I wish Valerie would bring back the faux mum urn filler she had a few years ago.  They were very realistic.  I returned mine as I didn't like the color.  The one currently available isn't remotely the same.

Except for the green cedar options, for the life of me I cannot find anything real looking about Wicker Park faux floral greenery.  It looks exactly like what it is.

For one thing, I don't like the molded, perfectly round, uniform shape.   At least with the green cedar, it looks like you go out and trim it round like that.

These are quite popular year after year though.  So I'm glad so many enjoy them.

@Caaareful Shopper Agreed!   I also don't care for the perfectly rounded uniform shapes.  I think that's part of what makes them look fake.

I plan on going over to Etsy and finding a nice new fall wreath.  Some there are really gorgeous!

I wish they looked more realistic up close.  Passing.... Cat Sad

@JeanLouiseFinch  If you find them unattractive and ugly, they should be easy to pass

LOL. Yeah, that too.

Hard pass, for me, means it's definite with no second thought.  Quite different from hard TO pass.

I'm not a fan of plastic flowers. Really over priced too.  If you're a fan, the Dollar Store is full of them for far less.
