Re: Wicker Park TSV - February 29, 2024

Easy pass for me. Bougainvillea doesn't grow here but we have enough flowers that do. I prefer real to "faux". I understand why these are liked, just not for me. Birds like to nest in my flower pots on the porch, I think they'd feel slighted if I gave them this option.

I don't like these because no matter who buys them they are plastic and will end up in landfills and will never, ever degrade.  It's a terrible purchase now and forever.

I bought the hanging baskets a few years ago to mix in with my not yet blooming  hanging baskets. Big mistake. They are cheap looking. I moved them to a dark place in my house. I will move them to the trash this spring.

I have to say i am really suprised that Bethlehem Lights

has put their good name to Wicker Park.  The few presentations i have watched on QVC over the year including the TSV today.........have all look sssssoooo

faux...plastic looking....not real at all.......and too

expensive for what you are shown.   Knew the first time i saw them it would be a big NO for me..............Those round ball sphere type things are really unbelievable....

Re: Wicker Park TSV - February 29, 2024

I bought the spheres a few years ago - they had more flowers and were much less $.  Yes, they do look fake up close but I needed a bit of color in a planter that would not grow real flowers for whatever reason so this did the job.  Believe it or not some people need to touch them to see if they are real lol.  The TSV today is overpriced IMO.

[ Edited ]

I bought the ones HSN had last year that had the tiny little  flowers on clearance and I like them a lot.

People have touched them to see if they are real.

These look so fake and the flowers are too big!

Mine look great having survived the winter.

With that said I found the petunias on the lunchtime specials for 18.39 I think I'll get them! lol

Re: Wicker Park TSV - February 29, 2024

There's no amount of hyperbole of "look how absolutely real they look!!" will make me think that TSV, in any design, could ever be real.  They are so obviously fake, they give good faux flowers/greenery a bad rap.

You get what you pay for with this TSV.

If you really want beautiful, believable faux flowers and greenery, you will pay substantially more.  I paid more years ago and I absolutely love my patio faux flowers and plants from Grandin Road. They're gorgeous, and well worth it to me.

What has happened QVC?  Wicker Park's roll-up ivy fence (M87788) is strange to me.  Roll-up?  It has to be attached to something in many places for it to work.  What happened to the expandable ivy fence made of real treated wood that could stand on it's own and be tethered to the ground if needed?

@Caaareful Shopper I also have beautiful faux flowers on my patio and they were well worth the money. I can't remember where I bought them. I can't use real flowers because the deer eat them.

I'm not a plastic flower person.
