What happen to the Harry London't TSV? No tin this year?

I just got an email about the Harry London TSV this year.  I was looking forward to get new tins this year.  But on the email, they are now coming in cardboard gift box.  I'm disappointed.

If that's the case the price should be lower since we all know a cardboard box is cheaper than the tins they were using. This a way for the company to make more money.

During Christmas-in-July, M51206 was presented.  It's a set of embossed door tins, along with 5 lbs of candy.  The price then was $69.00.  (The TSV is in boxes).

Edited to add:  the CIJ price was plus S/H.  The TSV is 7lb and free shipping.

Free shipping = no tin.

Oh well

Free shipping for the TSV, plus 2 lbs more than the CIJ tins.

Harry London also had the large tin with 6 lbs of candy that I have ordered and I"m waiting for the shipping date. That came with 10 different candies but several I'm not interested in.  I might cancel and order this TSV.

I already have a large tin and I'm trying to cut back on unnecessary items so I just might switch them up.

I believe the prices was $64.98 with free shipping; 6 lbs and large tin.

TSV is $59.98 with free shipping; 7 lbs and boxes.

Not a bad idea to switch since I can then use some of the boxes to give out as gifts for that last minute need for a gift for someone.

CIJ TSV with door tins did include S/H for the $69.00.   I have a set on order.

Will have to take a look at the TSV.  I like the tins, but I suppose the contents/value are more important than the packaging.

Their chocolate gets old fast.  Had to toss some.  It does not last or stay fresh.  Will not buy ever again.

I can't imagine anyone wanting 7# of chocolate and not giving any away thus the nice gift bags that you can stuff yourself.

I like the idea for gift giving, great for the postman, UPS delivery man, your neighbor, your hair stylist, keep one for yourself (maybe 2), a friend, and the list goes on and on....

The candy was probably made back in June, that's when the major manufactures have to finish making it for Christmas so it gets into the retailers warehouses ready for distribution.
