You could not be more wrong - the pants are very well made and do not fall apart.  My oldest ones are 5 or 6 years old - I only got rid of them because I'm in a smaller size.

I wash them in cool water, dry in dryer for 5 minutes or so then hang on hangar.

By the way I wear jeans and other pant too.

I do not find the pants rubbery at all however, the ones I had were not thick and they did not provide support or lift.  They weren't anything like a shaping garment would be.  I ordered a black pair and they were also not a deep, saturated black color.  When stretched, you could see the gold through them.  They did not fit me like leggings either.  They fit me like a pant.     

 

I was expecting them to be a thicker, denser material. 

 

IMO these are athleisure pants and nothing more.  I would not wear them to work or for a dressy occassion.  I would wear them around the house, grocery shopping, etc.
