I don't think Vionics are for everyone. Either you need and want the arch support or you don't. They're not your memory foam footbed. That doesn't mean they're uncomfortable for those looking for an orthopedic slipper.
Footwear with a strong arch support are not inexpensive, but well worth it for those that need it.
So while they may not be at the price point of a pair of Dearfoams, they're worth every penny for the orthopedic support.

@JudyL - My slippers arrived today. I've had them on for about an hour. The arch support is great and my foot feels very secure in them. The heel is slightly loose on bare feet, but I can live with that. The slipper itself has firmer, more supportive construction overall than the Vionics I've been wearing daily, all day unless I leave the house, for the past 8 months. The old ones could just be wearing out. The new ones are a little heavier too, but that doesn't bother me. I'd buy them again. I tossed the old ones.

@JeanLouiseFinch - I got mine think it was last Friday and I like them a lot also. I have narrow heels so shoes always slip on me and these are no different but with socks on, they are fine. I don't notice the arch support but wondering if thats because I have orthotics in my shoes so am used to having it so don't notice it. Like you, I am happy with mine and glad I purchased them.

I just got mine today, and I know the description says to wear them for about a half-hour a day for a few days to break them in, but unfortunately I'm going to have to return them.
I have a super high instep, and these are tight. I don't think they would get much looser there. Also, the heel slips, which bothers me even if I'm just wearing them inside. I tried putting on some thin socks, and that stopped the slipping, but I don't like to wear socks with slippers.
I'm sad, because the support and stability are REALLY good, and I can tell they are well-made, but these just aren't for me. I'm probably going to go back to my beloved boot style of slipper, with a soft sole. These just feel too confining to be a slipper.
I'm bummed, though! They're so nice; they just don't work on my freaky feet. LOL
