The texile back is a show stopper for me. A full leather boot costs more, but looks so much nicer. I'd rather have no boots at all than ones like this.

YW @DbinMd2! Vince Camuto is new for me, but I do like these. I wear boots all of the time once the weather gets cool, and I haven't bought any for a very long time. I'm thinking about the black.

Thanks for posting, @beach-mom ! I have never bought Vince Camuto shoes before, but I am taking a chance on these in the "tortilla" suede. I have an ankle "grannie" boot I got last year in that color that I just love and wear a lot, but I know they won't last forever, they were not an expensive brand here at the Q, so I am quasi-replacing them with these. I hope this brand's wide footbeds are truly wide, and that they have some arch support, or at least that I can put an insole into them. I hope I don't have to wind up returning them, i.e. that they live up to the hype.

I do agree with you @Quackeroo. I've never had a pair that's mixed material.

@beach-mom I do like the overall style of the boots and the acknowledgement that women's calves are not all the same size. The colors are nice too, especially the thyme and the tortilla. I guess I am just old school about all-leather items. I do understand they are trying to make fashion affordable for more people.

I have been looking for boots just like this! I have wide calfs and I love a style with stretchy backs. It's not a price issue, it is a FIT and COMFORT issue. My calfs are large, my ankles and heels are narrow, and if I can find an all leather boot that will fit the calf, there will be an uncomfortable excess of material at the ankles. With a stretchy knit back, the boot will fit without a bunch of uncomfortable leather at the ankle. So I am happy to see these! I may buy a couple of pairs!
This issue about bunchy ankles was noticeable in the presentation. Jane decided to wear the regular calf boot, even though regular calf boots rarely fit, and she decided these fit. I saw a bunch of material at her ankle, and if my boots fit like that, I would not wear them. The plus size model said she had medium size feet and extra wide ankles, and the boot fit her beautifully!
I was also pleased to see the petite model Crystal wearing the boot, since that means the boot will be too tall on us short people.
I am getting these!
If you can wear an all leather boot with good fit and comfort, you can probably find something else you like. But this stretcht back boot may just be what I am looking for, if the toe room is sufficient. I don't buy this brand, so I don't know.

There are boots that costs many hundreds of dollars that have that stretch back. High end designers have been doing it for a long time. I would be perfectly ok with it. I recently bought tall black suede boots. No hardware. I considered the chocolate brown leather but I'd prefer a clean boot, no strap and buckle.

Well, after due consideration of the fact that I've never had this brand before, have no idea if they are padded enough or have arch support, and that fabric in the back would be a disaster in the very rainy PNW, I cancelled my order. I'd rather have another ankle boot, anyway, and from a brand I know and trust.
