@BlueFinch I agree! 🤗 I’ve never had a weight problem but have family members and friends that have and David should be very proud of himself. I don’t care if he eats the food or not. If I want the food that’s presented I buy it. think Steve is great and I enjoy watching him with David. He’s got a great sense of humor and is truly a natural as a host. His passion for his job shows! Him and Alberti will be the perfect guys to take over when David and the other long time hosts retire.

If David is losing weight because he was told to do so by his doctor than his employer must make reasonable accommodations for him on the job.

David does look great and I would bet that his health is most likely in a much more positive situation with his weight loss success. However...........

If I were in his position, given the recent lay-offs, I would go ahead and take a small bite of the food item presented when necessary. Then, I would calculate/estimate the calories that were consumed and burn that amount by doing a bit more cardio work until calories in=calories out, plus a few more minutes just to make sure.

I do like Steve Doss during all of his presentations and involvement too!

I like David, I like Steve

No, that''s not how that works.  Obesity only requires an ADA accomodation if it severely restricts a major life activity.  They certainly can make a reasonable accomodation for an employee on a diet, but it would be because they are nice not because it is the law.

Now if David couldn't eat on the air because he has a gastic sleeve, then that might require an accomodation.

Yes, David has a carb and sweets sampling stunt double who does all the dangerous eating for him now. I hope they are getting hazard pay or at least some kind of extra compensation. Woman Wink

Thank you to whoever posted about Carolyn Gracie no longer working for QVC. I googled it and couldn’t believe it was true and that Dan Hughes lost his job too. Sad day for sure… i wish we could vote on who is let go. I truly think they made a mistake. ☺️

I think it's cruel that David has taste-doubles. It's okay for other hosts to be made to participate in these ridiculous tasting exercises and possibly gain weight but not him, he's special. 🙄

It’s getting a little weird watching and waiting for Steve’s reaction as the designated food tester

@Christina C24 I think he’s trying to be polite and not talk when he’s still chewing.

People commented when host ate the food. People commented when host did not eat the food. People commented when host squished the food. People commented when host touched food with their fingers. People commented when they thought food was wasted. People commented because a host takes a bite and does a Happy Dance. People commented when a host doesn't take a bite and do a Happy Dance.

Not one host eating or not eating food has ever factored in on whether or not I made a food purchase. All I want is to see the food, see the amount, and see the price.
