Looks tight, uncomfortable and HOT for summer.  As with most skin care products, I see no difference between the "before" and "after".  Why bother?

I totally agree!  The vendor really doesn't look any different to me with her demonstration.

The only time I would wear something like that would be with a dress since we no longer wear slips and a short panty would keep things together.

However I don't wear dresses so it's just not fr me.

I bought a couple of Jockey shapers awhile ago. Seldom wear them.  At my age I'd rather be comfortable and jiggle a bit--LOL!

Plus I don't understand why they advertise those Jockey "skimmies" as a substitute for a slip?  They do nothing to hide any see through of a skirt or dress.

@kaydee50 They are good for keeping upper thighs from rubbing together.  I never wear dresses but when DD got married last May I wore a gown and wore panty shorts that came halfway down my thigh under the dress.  However they were not "shapers". They were just long panties and were cool.

I thought shapewear was quite popular with the younger crowd and I occasionally hear celebs talk about their Spanx.  I find it funny that so many claim pantyhose are too hot, but will embrace shapewear.

@Icegoddess Celebrities get perks for mentioning brands. Spanx is trying to draw in the younger crowd.

@cjm61 They've been doing it for years and I had never even heard of it before it being mentioned by a younger person, so apparently they weren't targeting the older crowd.  Personally, I think Spanx is like Coke or Xerox.  It has become the generic term for shapewear whether or not it actually is Spanx.

LOL.  When I was young, we called them GIRDLES.  They were awful.  Why young people would tolerate this type of garment is beyond me.  I thought the younger generation was smarter than my older generation.  Smarter and all about comfort.
